Acoustics Guitars is a young innovative company which manufactures carbon fiber
acoustical guitars. I was hired originally
as a freelance/part time designer and quickly earned a full time supervisor
type position where my day to day activities included the following:

Architectural Design
As part of the
Community Design Workshop, we were commissioned to design a master plan for the
city of
Industrial Design
As
part of a small university design team, our design was chosen over others in
the competition to be mass-produced and used in classrooms across the
country. We designed a “Buddy Box” for a
company called Earthwalk which was partnered with Toshiba. The Buddy Box is an
enclosure for a network of classroom laptop computers. Some of the major
criteria included:
1.
Encasing 10 wireless
battery powered laptop computers
2.
Containing a battery
recharging tray and its power source
3.
Holding wireless
networking equipment
4.
Possessing anti-theft
mechanisms
5.
Implementing a means
of transportation
